The hardest part of every journey is “the first step”
Nope!
It’s somewhere in the middle.
The point where you’ve been traveling for so long you barely remember the beginning. You are in the thick of things and can’t even conceptualize the end…or even know where the end is.
That’s the hard part.
First steps are easier than ever today
Want to go somewhere? Easy. Plug the location into Google Maps and hit the road.
Want to fly around the world? Easy. (if expensive) Ever heard of Kiwi.com though? (check it out…fun way to find cheap flights if you have a flexible schedule)
Want to start a Substack? Easy. That’s one I’m happy about.
A diet, a New Year’s resolution, and a podcast…have one thing in common. Easy to start and hard to stick with.
So what?
So that’s what I do.
As a 20-year military member, I know some things about commitment and sticking with it.
The History Road Trip is here for the long haul.
If you need more convincing than that:
3 years producing the Walk with History YouTube channel (34k subscribers and growing)
2 years hosting the Talk with History Podcast (2k monthly downloads and growing)
15 years married to a historian…🤣
I am proudest of that last one.
Travel to historic locations and find community
The History Road Trip is here to give you lesser-known stories about history’s famous characters and locations.
I’ll also give you the history and travel resources I used to visit these locations. Think of this as your travel atlas…
…with someone who will reply to your comments and questions.
